Here’s just a few of many reasons: Every toy is individually knit, felted, sewn and embroidered, all by hand, to give it that durable but wonderfully fuzzy texture your cat will love. Yes, cats do see specific colors, so our toys are exclusively knit with an all wool yarn, in colors cats show the most interest in from their visual spectrum. At MAS, we exclusively use a wonderfully aromatic, 100% organic catnip and silver vine mix combined with an ecofriendly stuffing to make each toy irresistible to your kitty in both scent and plumpness. Every MAS cat toy is thoroughly checked for quality (and cuteness) before receiving the final “Mabel Ann paw print of approval” tag. There’s hardly been a time I can recall without a cat in my life. My mom has old photos of me as a kid with cats riding along in my bicycle basket, reading the Sunday comics with me, and just generally being my pal. But of all of them, Mabel Ann has had the most influence on me and the course of my designs. I have always loved fiber arts - but I am especially passionate about the art of knitting and the transformation that felting gives the fabric. When Mabel pointed out to me that my love of felted knitting could be combined with her love of cat toys, there was no turning back ~ Our Studio was born!
